Events

Kigs players often attends to public gathering like conventions (most commonly oriented toward anime and popular Japanese culture) or private events. Here is a list of some of these events (non exhaustive).

The Japan Expo is the biggest French event dedicated to the popular Japanese culture and one of the biggest European convention. A kigurumi booth is held by the Kaokig association (see Communities) where players from all Europe gathers to exchange and interact with the public and shed some light on the kig hobby. It is possible to get pictures with kigs and even to try demonstration masks. The booth is open to all. Typically, the Japan Expo is hold every year in July for 4 days, in Paris.

France, Paris

The Dokomi is the biggest German convention regarding Japanese culture. Kigs groups regularly forms to participate to this event, despite the lack of specific kig booth. The Dokomi is held at Düsseldorf in Germany during 3 days, in June.

The Kigurumi Europe is a private initiative organized by the kigs, for the kigs. Every registered member can propose to host a kig meet and each attendee bring a contribution to make the event possible. The Kigurumi Europe happen mainly in the United Kingdom, with dates variating depending on the host, the place and the availability of each attendee.

The Anime North take place in Canada at Toronto and last 3 days. Many Americans and Canadian kigs meet there each year.

The Anime Expo take place at Los Angeles in the United-States, as the biggest convention dedicated to Japanese culture in North America. Kigs are regularly attending there. The Anime Expo last for a week-end, in July.
